Refund Policy
Last updated: May 2026
This Refund Policy applies to all paid subscriptions to Knowra, operated by Concentric Digital ABN 81 643 722 525. Payment processing for all Knowra subscriptions is handled by Paddle as our Merchant of Record.
1. Free trial
All new Knowra accounts automatically receive a 14-day free trial of the Starter plan. No credit card is required during the trial period. No charge is applied when the trial ends. This policy applies only to paid subscription purchases.
2. First payment refund
If you subscribe to a paid plan for the first time and are not satisfied with the Service, you may request a full refund of your first payment within 14 days of the date that payment was processed.
To request a refund, contact us at billing@knowra.io from the email address associated with your account within the 14-day window. Include your workspace name and the date of payment. We will process your refund within 5 business days and you will receive confirmation from Paddle. Refunds are issued in USD to the original payment method.
This first payment refund is available once per account. It does not apply to subsequent billing cycles.
3. Subsequent billing cycles
After your first payment, subscription fees are non-refundable. If you cancel your subscription mid-cycle, you retain access to the Service until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused days in a billing cycle.
4. Plan upgrades — prorated credit
If you upgrade from a lower plan to a higher plan mid-billing cycle, you will receive a prorated credit for the unused days remaining on your current plan. This credit is automatically applied against the cost of your new plan in the current billing cycle.
For example, if you are on the Starter plan at USD 29/month and upgrade to Pro at USD 59/month with 15 days remaining in your billing cycle, you will receive a credit of approximately USD 14.50 (half of your Starter monthly fee) applied toward your Pro invoice.
5. Plan downgrades — credit toward next invoice
If you downgrade to a lower plan mid-billing cycle, you will receive a prorated credit for the unused days remaining on your current plan. This credit is applied toward your next invoice. Downgrade credits are not refunded as cash — they reduce your next billing cycle charge.
For example, if you are on the Pro plan at USD 59/month and downgrade to Starter at USD 29/month with 15 days remaining in your billing cycle, you will receive a credit of approximately USD 29.50 applied toward your next Starter invoice.
6. Annual plan refunds
If you purchase an annual plan, the 14-day first payment refund in clause 2 applies. After 14 days, annual plan payments are non-refundable. If you cancel an annual plan after the 14-day window, you retain access to the Service until the end of the annual period. No partial refund is issued for unused months.
7. Exceptional circumstances
We understand that exceptional circumstances arise. If you believe you are entitled to a refund outside the terms of this policy, contact us at billing@knowra.io and we will consider your request at our discretion. We do not commit to providing refunds outside this policy but we will review genuine cases fairly.
8. Account termination by us
If we terminate your account for a reason other than a breach of our Terms of Service, we will issue a prorated refund for the unused portion of your current billing period. If your account is terminated due to a breach of our Terms of Service — including but not limited to unauthorised sharing of MCP tokens — no refund will be issued.
